Common Questions

Got questions? We’ve got you.

Preserved fillers do not shed on their own. The glycerin treatment keeps leaves attached and stable. Dried fillers like pampas, bunny tails, and grasses may shed naturally during shipping, and some blooms may fall off in transit. This is completely normal. Once placed in a vase and left undisturbed, shedding stops almost entirely. The key is to avoid handling them more than necessary after arranging.

With proper care, preserved and dried fillers last 5 to 10 years or longer. Keep them away from direct sunlight, which fades color over time, and away from high humidity and water contact. These are stabilized plant materials, not perishables. There is no wilting, no decay, and no need to replace them.

Yes, and this is one of the biggest advantages over fresh greenery. You can order, arrange, and store your bouquet weeks or even months before your wedding day with no deterioration in appearance. Many of our customers finish their bouquets 4 to 8 weeks before their event. Store completed arrangements in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight and they will look exactly the same on your wedding day.

Preserved fillers like eucalyptus are treated with glycerin, which keeps the leaves soft, pliable, and deeply colored. You can bend them without snapping, making them ideal for bouquets where the filler wraps around focal flowers. Dried fillers like pampas, bunny tails, and star flowers are naturally dried without treatment. They have a crisper, more structural character and are perfect for vase arrangements and boho-style compositions.

This is one of our most popular combinations. Our preserved and dried fillers add color contrast, volume, and organic texture that makes sola bouquets look full and professionally designed. Dried accents add movement and boho character that complements the natural quality of Sola Wood Flowers. A combination that works beautifully: sola wood flowers as your focal blooms, preserved greenery as your structural layer, and one dried accent for depth and movement.

For a standard bridal bouquet, 1 to 2 full bunches of your chosen filler is more than enough alongside your focal flowers. Start with one bunch, arrange it, and add more only if you want additional volume. It is always better to have a little extra than to run short before your event.

Most products in this collection are sold by weight. A few specify stem count on the product page. Small-bloom items like star flowers and floral buttons are sold by weight because each bunch has dozens of stems with tiny blooms that would be impractical to count individually. Every listing includes a photo showing the actual quantity you will receive.

We do our best to represent our products accurately in photos. However, color appearance can vary depending on your screen settings and calibration. Additionally, because these are real plants, natural color variation between batches is expected and is part of what makes them genuinely organic. This is not a defect.

Under normal conditions, no. The dyes are stable with regular handling. In high humidity or with sweaty hands, some color transfer is possible from dyed stems. If you are carrying a bouquet at an outdoor summer wedding, keep dark-dyed stems away from white or light-colored fabric as a precaution. To test before your event, press a damp cloth against the stem bases and check for any transfer.

Yes. Preserved fillers work beautifully alongside fresh flowers. Fresh stems placed in water stay fresh while preserved stems alongside them are unaffected. This is a popular combination for wedding bouquets where customers want the longevity of preserved fillers with the freshness of live focal flowers.

Complete Your Bouquet

Preserved and dried fillers are the structural layer. Sola Wood Flowers are the stars. Together they build a bouquet that looks like it came from a professional florist.
